General Intelligence And Reasoning: The general reasoning papers in this section include both verbal and nonverbal type of questions. The applicant will come across questions from decision making, problem-solving, arithmetical computation, analysis, blood relationship concept, number series, arithmetical reasoning, syllogism to visual memory.
English Language and Comprehension: In the English test paper, SSC wants to check the understanding power of candidates in English language, grammar, its vocabulary, reading comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, sentence structure, and para jumble etc. Apart from this, the written ability of a candidate will also be checked.
General Awareness: The purpose of the question paper is to test the knowledge of the candidate’s general knowledge. The topics which candidates need to prepare for is current events, book author name, and important dates of celebration. Tips For Candidates Giving SSC Steno Exam 2018
- Paper 1 of SSC Steno Exam will be an online test
- SSC Steno Exam Pattern 2018 will consist of three sections which will include- General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension and General intelligence and reasoning
- SSC Steno Exam will be 200 marks and includes 200 questions which candidates need to solve in 2 hours
- Only those candidates will be called for SSC Steno Paper II who have qualified for Paper I
- It is the SSC which will decide the minimum qualifying marks of the online exam.
- There will be the provision of negative marking in the stenographer exam
- If candidates select the wrong answer then 1/4 marks will be deducted as penalty. So it is advisable for candidates to choose only those answers which they are hundred percent sure of.
